Red Spider Tattoo, established in 2014, is owned and operated by tattoo artist Bob Lindell, with tattoo artist Thom Soroka also conducting his business at the shop since 2020. The shop is located at 1 Lee Street, in downtown Putnam, Connecticut, directly across the street from Hometown Bank. Google Maps shows our location. Apple Maps has caused problems with directions.

Regardless of Connecticut law, WE DON’T TATTOO MINORS. You must be 18 years of age with proper ID to be tattooed. WE DON’T DO BODY PIERCING AND ARE NOT APPRENTICING ANYONE. If you are a licensed tattooer and interested in a position, feel free to get in touch.

The shop minimum is $60. The hourly rate for custom work is $130/hour. Gift certificates are available. We work by appointment only.

Bob spent 15 years at Renaissance Tattoo in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, before opening Red Spider Tattoo. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he worked for almost two years at Modern Tattoo tattooing members of the U.S. Navy stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He began learning the trade and working part-time at Tatu Tattoo in Chicago’s Wicker Park, in 1994.

Hours:
We primarily work by appointment only. Shop hours are basically Tuesday – Saturday: 12pm to 6pm

PLEASE NOTE:
A NON-REFUNDABLE retainer of $60 is required to schedule an appointment. This retainer comes off the final price of the tattoo. If more than one session is required, the retainer will be rolled over to hold your next appointment.

PLEASE GIVE US 24 HOURS NOTICE IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR RETAINER.

Retainers for tattoo work are NON-REFUNDABLE.
